Today is the My Favorite Things Challenge - Make My Day. Read all the details on THIS THREAD. Be sure to use the keyword LOVEFEST2013G when uploading to the Splitcoast Gallery. MFT is giving away two prizes...one is random and the other is specifically related to the challenge. Have fun!!!
I made this adorable card using Pure Innocence Being Cute is What I Do. I had a specific person in mind when I created this card and I know it'll put a smile on their face when it arrives in their mailbox. Is there anything better than happy mail? :-)
I started with a card base of Whip Cream then added a layer of Orange Fizz. The pretty floral paper is from the My Mind's Eye Notable collection. I added a strip of Berrylicious down the center of the card and the layout is TMS183.
I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black then coloured her with Prismacolour Pencils and odourless mineral spirits. I followed the fabulous MFT Academy tutorial. I used the Oval 1 STAX Die-namics and the Oval 2 STAX Die-namics to cut out the white and orange layers then stitched them together.
For the accent I used the Button Border Die-namics to cut out different coloured buttons then tied them with Hemp Cord. I used the Small Scallop Border Die-namics to cut out the Whip Cream scalloped strip and topped it with a piece of Orange Fizz grosgrain ribbon. I'm really loving this orange and blue colour combo lately...it feels so fresh.
On the inside I added a sentiment from Pure Innocence Being Cute is What I Do, stamped using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.
