Friend - Definition

I have another card for the Love Fest Member Challenges going on at Splitcoast. The last challenge is today, but you have until Feb 28th at Noon Central time to upload your creations to Splitcoast to be eligible for the amazing prizes. Seriously...go check it out HERE.

This is for the day 5 Die Crazy challenge. I used several Die-namics in the creation of this card, and just a little stamping.

I started by choosing the stamp set, Own Your Story, from My Favorite Things. Then I picked the patterned papers, Authentique Hope collection. Next I found a sketch, Cardabilities #69. Then I set to work creating. The card base is Whip Cream followed by a layer of Kraft, then patterned paper. I used the Decorative Doily Die-namics to cut out the Snow Cone doily and used the Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics to cut out the Whip Cream flourish.

I wanted to use the friend definition stamp and I wanted it to look like it was torn from a notebook, so I used the Insert It - Notebook Paper Die-namics to cut out the the main Kraft panel. Then I stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink, but the panel was a little too long so I placed it back into the die and cut off the bottom in order to shorten it. I stamped the flourish in the top right corner of the sentiment panel and also along the bottom of the base layer using Kraft Premium Dye Ink.

I used the Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die-namics to cut out the patterned paper and create this gorgeous bloom. I added a pearl to the center and a loopy Hemp Cord bow behind it. You'll find my tutorial on how to make a loopy Hemp Cord bow by clicking this link.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from Own Your Story and added two more flourishes stamped with Sno Cone Premium Dye Ink.

MFTeaser - Season's Greetings

Welcome to day three of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!

Today I'm sharing a card I made using the new Seasonal Sentiments stamp set, which is the Triple Scoop set for this release. What's the Triple Scoop set? Well, you earn the Triple Scoop set FREE with a qualifying $60 order, and the set changes every month.

I love the graphic look of the sayings in Seasonal Sentiments. This is card #33 for Project Christmas 2012.

For this card I use papers from the Echo Park Very Merry Christmas collection. I used the Insert It 3x4 Insert Die-namics to cut out the graph paper then stamped the sentiment with Versamagic Brick Red ink. The layout is Cardabilities sketch #60.

The new Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics along with one of the sizes of the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics were perfect for creating the row of flags and the Icicle Border Die-namics cut from Whip Cream card stock was used for the horizontal element. I covered it with Star Dust Stickles for a little shimmer.

I used the Let it Snowflake Die-namics to cut out the two layered snowflake and used Wild Cherry as a base layer.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from Seasonal Sentiments and added some more flags, thanks to the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics.

Turning 1

A special little boy is turning one today so I made this colourful card to celebrate his big day.

I used By the Numbers Stamps and Die-namics from My Favorite Things and the fun layout from Cardabilities #59 sketch.

The Layered Labels Die-namics were perfect for layering the sentiment and creating a larger focal point. Then I jazzed it up thanks to the Star STAX Die-namics and the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics. The number "1" was cut out of cork and I used patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Playdate collection paired with Red Hot, Sour Apple, Kraft, and Sweet Tooth card stocks.

On the inside I combined a couple more words from By the Numbers Stamps and Die-namics to create the sentiment then I mimicked the flags on the front. The Red Hot half circle was cut out with one of the smaller sizes from the Circle 1 STAX Die-namics.

Happy Birthday Jonah!!!
