MFTeaser - Howdy

Welcome to day one of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!

Today we're kicking up our heels western-style with the new Howdy stamp set and the new Western Backgrounds, both by Lisa Johnson Designs.

My card started out as a Mojo sketch but I deviated so it really looks nothing like the original sketch anymore. I started by choosing a sweet patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye All Spice paper pad and paired it with Kraft, Hot Fudge, and Berrylicious card stock layers.

For the horse image I started by using the circle from Sweet Stack Labels Die-namics to cut out the Whip Cream piece then I stamped the horse with Versamagic Jumbo Java. The I used the Decorative Doily Duo Die-namics to cut out the Hot Fudge layer. I used the Circle 2 STAX Die-namics to cut out the floral paper.

Check out the right edge of the Kraft card stock base...I used the wood plank stamp from Western Backgrounds stamped with Memento Peanut Brittle. Then I used the new Western Star Border Die-namics to create the fun vertical element. I saved the little star centers and used them above the Howdy element, coated with Stickles for a little sparkle. Speaking of the Howdy sentiment, I used the new Howdy Frames Die-namics to cut out the Whip Cream arrow and stapled it in place with my Tiny Attacher. I really like how this card is just feminine enough for my favorite cowgirl.

On the inside I used another frame from the Howdy Frames Die-namics and another sentiment from the Howdy stamp set.
