With Halloween only a few short week's away I'm squeezing in another creepy crawly card using the Spider Web Stamps and Die-namics.
I started by cutting out the web from corrugated cardboard then I glued it to Black Licorice card stock. Then I cut out the web using the Circle 1 STAX Die-namics and used the Circle 2 STAX Die-namics to cut out the Tangy Orange layer. The spider was also cut from Tangy Orange but I coated him with Star Dust Stickles. I used the narrow Chat Bubbles Die-namics for the sentiment (who says spiders can't talk!) and cut it down to fit the length of the sentiment.
The Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics were perfect for cutting out the vertical element from patterned paper and I layered it onto Whip Cream card stock. The patterned papers are from the Carta Bella All Hallow's Eve collection and I think they show up nicely on the Kraft card stock base.
On the inside I used my black Spica glitter pen to draw in the web line and added a Tangy Orange spider and another sentiment from the Spider Web Sentiments set.
Here are the sketchy details:
There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC92. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!
Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog to view the entire list of design team participants...there's plenty of inspiration for you with today’s sketch!
Here are the Die-namics I used:Thanks for stopping by!
