One of a Kind

It's time for the MFT monthly Designer Team Creative Challenge.

This month's challenge was to create a teacher themed project. Parents always seem to need cards for their kids to give a teacher, so I made a sweet and feminine card for that special teacher!

I used Pure Innocence Paper Doll. You might notice that her dress and the paper dolls are paper pieced. Yes, I'm that insane...I cut out around all those little dolls' arms and legs! But it really wasn't as difficult as you might think, and I actually preferred doing that rather than colouring in all the nooks and crannies. I used patterned papers from the Echo Park Country Drive collection and the layout is the Deconstructed Sketch #42.

I used the Double Scallop Border Die-namics to cut out the green patterned strip and added some Sweet Tooth ribbon on top of it. For the little circle accent on the sketch I opted to cut apart one of the sentiments from the set. The pink circle is cut from Pink Lemonade card stock and the green base layer is Sour Apple card stock.

On the inside I used the Paper Doll Border Die-namics to cut out the hot pink patterned paper and added another sentiment from the set.

Hop over to the  MFT blog for a list of the participating designers.

I hope you'll take the challenge and play along. Check out this thread on Splitcoast for all the details.

Here are the Die-namics I used:
