MFT New Product Tour - Deck the Halls and Subway Art

After a week of MFT teasers it's now time to shop. Hooray! You'll find all the new products in the Brand Spankin' New section of the MFT Boutique.

The design team has even more creations to inspire you though, so hop over to the MFT Blog for a list of tonight's participating designers.

I had two sets to work with, More Washi Patterns and Holiday Subway Art.

I'll start out with this clean and simple and flat-for-mailing card. I started with a Sweet Tooth card base then added layers of Pink Lemonade and Kraft.

I used More Washi Patterns to create the striped paper using Pink Lemonade Premium Dye Ink, Sour Apple Premium Dye Ink, and Berrylicious Premium Dye Ink. I backed it on a strip of Sour Apple card stock then I created the Berrylicious layer. I used Ornament Banner Builder stamped with Berrylicious Premium Dye Ink for the ornaments. I lined them up on my grid mat then picked them up with a big acrylic block and stamped them down all at once. This way I was able to center them and make sure they'd be straight.

The sentiment is also from Ornament Banner Builder and I stamped it with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink.

Next up is another flat-for-mailing card using Laina Lamb Designs Holiday Subway Art.

I started with a Sweet Tooth card base again then added a layer of Wild Cherry. The sentiment panel was fun to create on Black Licorice card stock. I placed the words down on my grid mat, made sure they were all straight, then I picked them up all at once with a big acrylic block. I stamped them with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink then heat embossed them with white powder. The black panel is mounted on foam tape for a little dimension.

In the background I used the small snowflakes from Holiday Subway Art, stamped with Wild Cherry Premium Dye Ink, to add pattern to the red layer. Then I used the Falling Snowflakes Die-namics to cut out the Kraft strip. I backed it with some Sweet Tooth so the flakes would be white, then I used the Small Scallop Border Die-namics to add the decorative edge.

Have fun hopping and shopping!!
