Sweet Sunday Hooray

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC241.

I'm adding to my stash of birthday cards with this masculine creation.

The sketch was a perfect layout for a guy card, easy and simple without too much fuss.

It's ok that I added a little sparkle though with the orange rhinestones, right? It seemed a little too plain without them.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.

Sweet Sunday Thank You

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC237.

I'm baaaaaaaaaaack!!!! The move went well and we are about 85% settled in the house. You know how it is if you've ever moved...there are always little things in each room that linger undone for longer than you want. But whatev! :-)

For my card this week, I made a masculine thank you card. My dad asked me for a few thank you cards and since he is an optometrist, nothing was more perfect than the Eye Charts set from My Favorite Things. I'd love to say I made a few cards for him while I was at it creating this one but that didn't happen so it's my Sunday project. He'd like to have six cards so I think I'll switch up the background paper just to mix it up a little.
I paired it with a patterned paper from the Carta Bella Boy Oh Boy collection and used the Geek is Chic Glasses Die-namics. The strips of paper in the background look black in the photos but it's actually dark grey. I just couldn't get the colours to show properly in Photoshop.
Check out the shine on the glasses, thanks to my clear glaze pen.
Now I just hope the view from my new stamp room won't be too distracting for future stamping. I can already hear that pool calling in the Texas heat! ;-)
I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.

Sweet Sunday Thank You

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC229.

I'm not sure why but the sketch seemed more natural for me flipped upside down, so that's how I used it to create a masculine thank you card.

I'm giving this card to my bootcamp instructor to thank him for booting me into shape and making exercise fun! I actually miss the classes when I can't go for one reason or another! Thanks Andrew!

Check out the shimmer on the yellow star. I coated it with my Wink of Stella pen.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.
