Sweet Sunday Thank You

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC229.

I'm not sure why but the sketch seemed more natural for me flipped upside down, so that's how I used it to create a masculine thank you card.

I'm giving this card to my bootcamp instructor to thank him for booting me into shape and making exercise fun! I actually miss the classes when I can't go for one reason or another! Thanks Andrew!

Check out the shimmer on the yellow star. I coated it with my Wink of Stella pen.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.

Sweet Sunday Sympathy

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC228.

As you can tell from the title of my post, I needed a sympathy card recently. This is the one type of card that I don't make in advance or keep in my stash...it just seems like bad karma to me. Of course that means I'm scrambling whenever I need one, but I'm ok with that.

I chose the muted colour palette in the Fancy Pants Country Boutique paper pad and added my favourite sentiment from MFT's Clearly Sentimental about Sympathy.

I added some kraft and black card stock and used natural for the main circle. The corrugated cardboard heart with a whip cream button was a perfect accent to tie in the heart background paper.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.

Sweet Sunday Sparkly Tree

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC227.

I used this week's sketch to create a fun, non-traditional Christmas card. This is #7 for Project Christmas 2014.

I've had this Mod Tree die from Simon Says Stamp for quite a while now so it was high time to use it.  I decided it was perfect for the stacking technique.

I cut out six of the trees then adhered them all together in order to create dimension. This works perfectly for intricate dies like this when you could never conceal the foam tape.

Isn't the dimension cool!

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.
