Since it's July 4th, I took the opportunity to use Pure Innocence My Little Firecracker to create this sweet patriotic card.
I used papers from the Simple Stories Summer Fresh 6x6 pad and added some Red Hot card stock for the base layer. I used the Star STAX Die-namics to cut out the yellow star and topped it with a button. Then I used the wide banner from First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics to cut the gingham sentiment strip.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black then cut it out with the Rectangle 2 STAX Die-namics. I dressed her up for a 4th of July cook out in her sweet little floral and gingham dress. I added some Star Dust Stickles to the sparkler then placed a clear rhinestone brad in the center.
On the inside I used a patterned piece from the Summer Fresh pack and stamped her again with Memento Nautical Blue.
There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC79. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!
Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog to view the entire list of design team participants...there's plenty of inspiration for you with today’s sketch!
