Live Loud {MFTWSC116}

It's time to get sketchy with the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club and sketch 116.

I used the mirror image of the sketch which works better with the à la modes 80's Girl image that I chose to use. I've been thinking how well she pairs with the new Document It - Rock On set so I finally made that happen.

I started with a base of Sweet Tooth card stock then added a layer of yellow and Steel Grey. I ran the grey layer though my distressed diamonds embossing folder for  a little texture. The patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Remarkable collection.

I stamped my 80's Girl with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloured her with copic markers. I paper pieced her shirt and leg warmers then added sparkle to the boom box (I'm dating myself aren't I?!?). I mounted her on foam tape for a little dimension.

I stamped the sentiment from Document It - Rock On with Blu Raspberry Premium Dye Ink onto a circle of Sweet Tooth which I cut out with the Circle 2 STAX Die-namics. I used the Mini Doily Circles Die-namics to cut out the Kraft layer.

On the inside I stamped my 80's Girl again with Blu Raspberry Premium Dye Ink and added a sentiment from à la modes 80's Girl stamped with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.

There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC116. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!

Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog to view the entire list of design team participants...there's plenty of inspiration for you with today’s sketch!

Here are the supplies I used:

Cute card! Love the paper piecing on the image and the line of stitching on the side.
