MFTeaser - Wish Big

Welcome to day seven of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!!!

Now that we've teased and tempted you all week long, it's almost time for you to shop for your favorite Brand Spankin' New products from MFT. But first... it's time for our Die-namics Feature and Pre-Release Pep Rally! Our Design Team has been busy creating jaw-dropping and inspiring projects for you, and we've saved the best for last. We've taken an in-depth look at this month's Die-namics, while re-visiting the amazing sets being released tonight at 10 PM EST RIGHT HERE in the MFT Boutique. And while we are at it, how about we make your life even easier with a "cheat sheet" of all that's new?  Head over to the MFT Blog to print out a shopping list.

Some of this month's Die-namics are absolutely perfect for masculine cards, so that's the route I took. I made my dad's birthday card (which is already late because his birthday was March 29th, but that's ok...he's happy to receive it late because it keeps the celebration going, and I'm happy to oblige!).

The sentiment is from the Big Greetings set and I used the By The Letters Uppercase Die-namics to spell out DAD. Then I broke out my beloved Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics and cut out three sizes of them to create the layered accent. The striped paper is from the October Afternoon Sasparilla 8x8 pad. The embossing folder I used on the grey background is called Diamond Plate. A little stitching and this masculine card front was done!

On the inside I used the Chevron Stripes Die-namics to cut out several colours, then I glued them down right beside each other to create a neat patterned look. I have a quick little tip for you in the photos below. I finished the inside with another sentiment from Big Greetings.

The Chevron Stripes Die-namics dies give you a 2 for 1 result when you cut them out, because you get the positive cut and you also get the negative cut. I love to find a way to use the negative cut. In this case, the negative cut is the yellow bottom layer on the inside of the card...it has one zig zag edge and one straight edge, perfect to use along the edge of a layer!
