Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day 1

Here's a darling card I made for my dad while he was in the hospital, using the brand new cupcake set, Doctor's Orders, from Taylored Expressions, which will be available on May 5th.

I started by stamping the Cuppie in bed with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White cardstock, then I stamped it again onto the plaid patterned from PebbelsInc. Legacy Collection so I could paper piece the bed spread. I coloured the rest of the image with copics then cut it out with rectangle Nestabilities and layered it onto black. The sentiment was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo black onto baja blue and cut out with Nestabilities. I added the check marks with a fine black marker.

The card base is Choice Snow White, followed by the polkat dot patterned paper from the Legacy Collection, and I distressed the edges for a little interest. A little voice in my head (thanks Joanne!) reminded me to place the panels on an angle to make room for embellishments. Ta Da!!! I had space for some grey grosgrain ribbon and an SU corduroy button. A few Bella dots finished the details.

This stamp set is perfect for children and adults too...even my dad, who isn't a huge cupcake fan...gasp!...thought this image was really cute.

Be sure to pop over to the rest of the Baker's Dozen blogs to see more sneak peeks with the Doctor's Orders set.

See you tomorrow for Day 2 of sneak peeks with a brand new set from the Whimsical Wishes line.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!
Karen
