MFTeaser - Good Cheer

Welcome to day one of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!

I can't believe it's teaser time already. Where has the month of March gone? Seriously? But teaser time is always fun and we're kicking it off with Who's That Girl? Let's Grab Drinks.

She's perfect for paper piecing so that's what I did, with one of the patterns from the Simple Stories Fabulous 6x6 paper pad. I added a few coats of clear glaze pen to the glass to make it shiny and layered the image onto hot fudge card stock.

Do you spy any new Die-namics dies? Well, I've used four new ones on this card, starting with the Chevron Stripes Die-namics which I cut from pink lemonade card stock and layered under the image. Then I used the amazing new Fishtail Flags STAX...love!!!! I used the second largest size and cut it from fossil card stock, then I stamped one of the sentiments from the set at the bottom of the fishtail. The floral embellishment was created by cutting english rose felt using the royal rose Die-namics die. Check out the detail on the leaves, which were cut from sour apple card stock using the Royal Leaves Die-namics. And the flower layers perfectly on one of the Mini Doily Circles Die-namics.

Sweet Sunday Strong

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC155.

I went with Vertical Greetings stamps and Die-namics set from My Favorite Things for a quick and easy, and effective card.

To create the faux layer under the sentiment panel I simply cut the Tangy Orange card stock using the same Vertical Greetings Die-namics die then cut it in the center so I could overlap the top and bottom edges a little. The flags were cut out using the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics and I added three buttons in place of where the sentiment should have gone.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.

Butterfly {MFTWSC64}

It's time to get sketchy with the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club and sketch 64.

This week's sketch can be interpreted in a number of ways. I decided to use Inspired by Butterflies and the coordinating Inspired by Butterflies Die-namics.

First I used the die to cut out the butterfly shape then I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured it with copics. Next I added sparkle by dotting on some glitter. The patterned papers are from the Authentique Genuine collection.

I used the Mix and Match Banners Die-namics to cut an extended banner from Fossil card stock then stamped the sentiment. The flower was cut out with the smallest of the Botanical Beauty Die-namics and I added a white brad to the center.

Here are the sketchy details:

There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC64. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!

I inked up the adorable Pure Innocence Magician set and paired her with some fun new papers from the Lily Bee Victoria Park Tiny Tablet. Her dress is paper pieced and the rest is coloured with copic markers. I added a little sparkle with a couple of Spica glitter pens and lots of sparkle to her cape with Glamour Dust glitter. The Pink Lemonade and Black Licorice ovals were cut out with the Oval STAX set 1 and set 2 Die-namics. I used the Chat Bubbles Die-namics for the 'pure magic' sentiment and the Upsy Daisy Die-namics for the flower, cut from puff cloud white felt. Check out those gorgeous new Chevron Stripes Die-namics!! LOVE!!! I cut them from Razzleberry card stock then cut the narrow one again from Berrylicious card stock to create a chevron layer.

On the inside I used the Pinking Edge Die-namics to add interest to the bottom of the Sour Apple green layer and stamped one of the sentiments from the Amazing & Magical Sentiments Mini set.

Better Together {MFTWSC63}

It's time to get sketchy with the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club and sketch 63.

I adore this sketch so much that I had a difficult time deciding which image to use. But I didn't have time during teasers to ink up Pure Innocence Precious Little Lamb - Better Together, so I went with that one.

I picture these two sweeties sitting up on a hill, looking down at the city (or the farm) so I used the Skyline Border Die-namics to cut out the white skyline and tucked it behind the image panel.

The lambs were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with copic markers. I paper pieced their jackets with patterns from the My Minds Eye On the Bright Side Two 6x6 pad. I used the Flat Bottom Clouds Die-namics to create the cloud accent and the smaller cloud is cut from Puff Cloud White felt. A strip of Orange Fizz ribbon brightens up the background a little and the base layers are Berrylicious and Hot Fudge card stock.

On the inside I used the Sweet Stack Die-namics to cut out the sentiment panels and the Small Scallop Border Die-namics to cut out the brown patterned strip.
