MFTeaser - Alley Cat

Welcome to day seven of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!

It's almost time to shop. All the new products will be available in the Brand Spankin' New section of the MFT Boutique tonight at 10pm EDT. Hop over to the MFT Blog for details and to download your copy of the monthly shopping list, 'cause you don't want to forget anything!

I used Pure Innocence Kitty Costume for my card today and turned her into an Alley Cat by placing her on a brick background.

I started with a Sweet Tooth card base, then added a layer of Black Licorice and a layer of Orange Fizz. I used the Plaid Builder Background, stamped with Orange Fizz Premium Dye Ink to add the pattern around the Orange Fizz layer. I tell ya, you need the Plaid Builder Background, even if you never intend on creating plaid. It's super versatile!!! I used the new Brick Wall Stencil sponged with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink to create the brick pattern on the layer of Black Licorice.

I stamped Pure Innocence Kitty Costume with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloured her with copic markers. I created my own polka paper for her skirt by stamping her again onto Orange Fizz, then I stamped the dots from Washi Patterns onto the skirt and cut it out. I added a little sparkle to the polka dots by going over each of them with a black Spica glitter pen.

Here's a close up of the orange border and the brick wall. The 'EEK' sentiment is from Trick or Sweet and I stamped it with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink onto the Orange Fizz speech bubble which I cut out using the Say What? Die-namics.

On the inside I stamped Pure Innocence Kitty Costume again with Orange Fizz Premium Dye Ink and added a sentiment from the set.

You'll find more information on the MFT Blog, along with a list of today's participating designers.

Here are the supplies I used:
