The design team is doing a recap of the new products today and tomorrow, so hop over to the MFT Blog for a list of today's participating designers.
I'll start out with my sweet Halloween card.
I decided to use Pure Innocence Pretty Pumpkin and I paired her with the Blueprints 6 Die-namics and one of the provided layouts. The card base is Sweet Tooth then I used the Blueprints 6 Die-namics to cut out the Kraft layer. I stamped the sentiment along the bottom with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.
I stamped this little sweetie with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloured her with copic markers. I love that the little pumpkin face on her t-shirt is a separate stamp, so she can really be used for any occasion! I paper pieced her little polka dot skirt after making my own patterned paper by stamping the dots from Washi Patterns with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink onto Grape Jelly card stock. Then I went over each of the dots with a black Spica glitter pen for a little sparkle. I added pattern to the Steel Grey rectangle by stamping the text from Trick or Sweet with Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink. I used the button from Blueprints 6 Die-namics to cut out the two Orange Fizz buttons and tied them with Hemp Cord.
Along the left edge of the Kraft base layer I used the Plaid Builder Background, stamped with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink, to add the white stripes. The Grape Jelly scallop was cut out using the Blueprints 6 Die-namics.

Next up is a quick and simple 'thank you' card.
I started with a Sweet Tooth card base again and a layer of Kraft. I built the rest of the card on the Brick Red layer.
I'm smitten with the double stamping on white technique and I knew the bold font from Sending Thanks (which is this month's Free with $60 set) would be perfect for this technique. I started by stamping it with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink onto a strip of Kraft, then set it aside to dry. Once it was dry I stamped it again, a little offset, with Brick Red Premium Dye Ink. Then I added the secondary sentiment with Kraft Premium Dye Ink. I used the scallop from Blueprints 6 Die-namics to cut out the Sno Cone scallop and stitched it in place.
The Brick Red background was a little plain so I used the gears from Collage Backgrounds, stamped with Kraft Premium Dye Ink, to jazz it up a little. I finished the card with three sequins for a touch of sparkle.
I hope you're getting plenty of ideas for the new products from the August MFT release!
