Lovely Birthday {MFTWSC137}

Today I'm sharing my card for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch 137. I know I'm a little late to the party, but I have a good reason. I was away for a week visiting my besties Dana and Leslie. We had a lovely time together and dubbed it the "accessories" vacation because we all seemed to gravitate to accessories when we went shopping. I may have had two purses and several bracelets follow me home. ;-)  I love that we are able to get together a couple of times a year despite living thousands of miles apart.

I used the awesome Birthday Greetings stamp set to create this clean and simple beauty. I started with a Sweet Tooth card base then added a layer of Electric Red and another layer of Sweet Tooth.

I used the Rectangle 2 STAX Die-namics to cut out the Smooth White sentiment panel, then I stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.

For the horizontal strips on the background layer I cut two pieces of Kraft card stock then stamped them with Kraft Premium Dye Ink using the houndstooth image from Spring Backgrounds. Then I used the Sentiment Strips Die-namics to cut out the Sno Cone double-ended flag. The Electric Red flower was cut out using the Upsy Daisy Die-namics and I added a trio of sequins for a touch of sparkle.

On the inside I used the scrap of stamped Kraft and the Party Balloon Die-namics to cut out the patterned balloon. The string is from the Party Balloons stamp set, then I added another sentiment from Birthday Greetings.
