Be The Change....

Just a super quick post for today! The weather's warmed up and it's a gorgeous fall day so I'm going out to enjoy it!

I've had this quote from Unity for quite a while now so it's about time that I use it...right?!? When I saw Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, MTSC44, I thought it was a perfect opportunity. I definitely wanted something quick and simple and this fit the bill perfectly.

The sentiment is stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa then cut out with oval Nestabilities. All the cardstock is from my August 20th Key Ingredients. I added buttons from my stash over each of the circles on the image and I think the longest part of this entire card was threading the buttons! LOL!!! The brown thread was already in my machine from the previous card I made so I went with it and stitched around the edges. Then I added some white brads and ribbon to brighten it up a little.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

Are you ready for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch? I was so excited when Karen Giron asked me to be part of her Sweet Sunday Stampers to create a card showcasing her weekly sketch...fun, fun, FUN! I love playing along with her sketches whenever possible anyway, so this was right up my alley!
You can find this week's sketch, SSSC36, on Karen Giron's blog, The Sweetest Thing. She's also giving away some blog candy to celebrate the new Sweet Sunday Stampers so be sure to pop over and see! I've had this card under wraps pretty much all week, just waiting to show it off. It's doubling as my Christmas card of the week too.

I used a fun Unity set called Jolly Little Winter. I thought the little penguin was perfect for the square element on the card. I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White and coloured him with copics. I used my square Nestabilities to cut him out. Also, I popped the penguin and the fish for dimension then added some diamond dust to look like sparkly ice.

The patterned paper is by Pebbles Inc. I used my swiss dots Cuttlebug folder to jazz up some solid blue then layered it onto not quite navy, then onto the white card base. I love using ghost snowflakes, and I layered this one with circles of blue and kiwi, then added a platinum Bella dot to the center. This is one of those cards that just makes me happy to look at! :)

I'm off to see what the other Sweet Sunday Stampers came up with for this sketch.

It's the Inspirational Unity Blog Hop!!!

I'm so happy to be partaking...can't wait to hop along and see what everyone's created. Thanks so much for stopping by, and be sure to start at the Unity Blog to view the entire inspirational Unity blog hop.

I decided to use my brand new Rain & Flowers set. The umbrella is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics. I masked the image then inked the rain drops with Versamark first, followed by Baja Breeze, then embossed them with clear embossing powder. I decided it needed some dimension so I stamped the umbrella again and popped it.  The patterned paper is Fancy Pants and I also used kiwi kiss, pomegranate and chocolate chip. The ribbon is from the Paper Source and the scallop edge was done with my new EK Success border punch.

My favourite Unity quote...hmmm...that's a tough one, there are so many... Be The Change You Wish To See In The World.

Next you're hopping over to visit Lori for more eye candy. Go give her some lovin'!
