Since it's Christmas day, I couldn't resist making one last Christmas card for the year. This sketch lends itself to a clean and simple design, and I'm really happy with how my card turned out.
I started with a
Sweet Tooth card base then added some
Sno Cone. At first I left the
Sno Cone layer as just a plain card stock layer, but once I had the central elements in place it needed a little something, so I used the
Polka Dot Cover-Up Die-namics to cut out the holes and I backed it with more
Sno Cone for a tone on tone look that doesn't overpower the other elements.
I used
Wild Cherry to anchor the elements and cut out the circle with the
Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics. I used the
Insert It-Speech Bubble Die-namics to cut out the
Kraft talk bubble and added a strip of
Sweet Tooth for the horizontal element. I used the
Negative Dot Alphabet Die-namics to cut out the "Ho Ho Ho" from
Black Licorice card stock. Then I stamped the "Merry Christmas" sentiment from
Starry Christmas using
Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.
I wanted to add another element to help balance the card so I used the medium size snowflake from
Let It Snowflake Die-namics to cut out the
Sno Cone flake, then I topped it with a rhinestone for some bling.
Wishing you a delightful holiday season!!!
