Happy Holidays

I have a clean and simple Christmas card today (card #38 for Project Christmas 2012), using CTS#3 as the layout.

I chose Nightshift Blue card stock paired with Kraft and Whip Cream. I used the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics  to cut out the sentiment panel then I stamped one of the sentiments from Clearly Sentimental about Christmas with Memento Tuxedo Black. I used my Tiny Attacher to secure it to the card.

I thought the circle was perfect for a big snowflake so I used the Let it Snowflake Die-namics to cut out the Nightshift Blue Felt then I added a whip cream snowflake on top. I finished the snowflake with the Nightshift Blue button tied with Hemp Cord. I used the Circle 2 STAX Die-namics to cut out the opening and ringed it with a rhinestone circle.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from Clearly Sentimental about Christmas.

Sweet Sunday Christmas

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC171.

This is card #37 for Project Christmas 2012. I can't seem to put down Seasonal Sentiments from My Favorite Things. I just adore the graphic greetings and it's so easy to whip up a fabulous card with any of the sentiments from the set.

I used the Circle 1 STAX and Circle 2 STAX Die-namics to cut out the focal point from Whip Cream, Jellybean Green and corrugated cardstock. I stamped the sentiment with the new MFT Jellybean Green ink...love it! Dye ink with fabulous coverage...what more could a girl ask for! Why, diamonds of course, so I added a circle of rhinestones around the sentiment. I finished the main panel by cutting out some Wild Cherry felt using the Double Scallop Border Die-namics and stitching it in place.

The patterned papers are from the Simple Stories Handmade Holiday collection and I used Kraft cardstock for the base. The Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics were perfect for cutting out the flag element from Wild Cherry felt.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from Seasonal Sentiments using MFT Wild Cherry ink. The new inks will be available on November 13th with the rest of the November release. Speaking of which, teasers start this Wednesday...woo hoo!

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team created.

Sew Special

Today I played with the Sew Nifty stamps and Die-namics set from My Favorite Things and used the CR84FN66 colour challenge, along with the sketch PP119 from the Paper Players.

I started by stamping the sentiment at the bottom of the Kraft panel with Memento Tuxedo black then I ran it through my Vagabond with the Textile embossing folder. I layered it onto Steel Grey card stock and used the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics to cut out the floral patterned paper flag.

I used the Open Scallop Doily Duo Die-namics to cut out the Whip Cream circle then I "stitched" some Flax Twine through the holes. I added a little bling for some sparkle. I used the Sew Nifty Die-namics to cut out the thread spool from Kraft and the scissors from Steel Grey then I wrapped more Flax Twine around the spool. The two patterned papers are from the On the Bright Side Two and Portobello Road paper pads, both by My Mind's Eye.

On the inside I used the Small Scallop Border Die-namics to cut out the Kraft scallop piece and stamped another sentiment from the set.
