I created two cards today, along with a tutorial for creating your own patterned paper.
I'll start with my clean and simple card first. I started with a card base of the new Primitive White card stock (I can't seem to get enough of this new card stock!) then I added a layer of Hot Fudge and built the sentiment on Kraft.
I chose three paint swipe images from Abstract Art and stamped them with Kraft Premium Dye Ink, Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink, and Hot Fudge Premium Dye Ink directly onto the Kraft layer. I set that aside to dry completely and while I was waiting I used the Paint Brushes Die-namics to cut out the brush from Kraft and Steel Blue card stock. For the brush tip I simply pressed the end directly onto the Hot Fudge ink pad to colour it. I gave it a coating with my clear glaze pen though to make it look wet, then I stamped the small brush stroke. I chose a sentiment from Chalkboard Greetings, stamped it with versamark ink then heat embossed it with white powder. Love how it pops on the neutral background colours!
On the inside I chose another sentiment from Chalkboard Greetings, inking only part of the sentiment, and stamped it with Hot Fudge Premium Dye Ink. I added a two more images from Abstract Art. Swoon!!! I kinda hear angels sing every time I use Abstract Art...LOVE!
**********
My next card is much more bright and colourful, and I used the new Blueprints 4 Die-namics.
I started with a card base of Primitive White...again, then added the Kraft and Pink Lemonade layers, which I cut out using the Blueprints 4 Die-namics. I used white chalk ink to stamp the script from Art Expressions Text then inked around the edges of the Kraft layer.
I stamped the sentiment from Blissful Butterflies with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink in the open space on the Kraft layer.
I used elements from Blueprints 4 Die-namics to cut out the Razzle Berry rectangles and the Lemon Drop scalloped piece. This is one of the sketches provided with the Blueprints 4 Die-namics, but I did add the rectangle of Primitive White to help ground the Razzle Berry rectangles. I had fun creating my own patterned paper for the butterflies, and I took photos along the way, so please see below for my tutorial. I used the Blissful Butterflies Die-namics to cut out the butterflies and misted them with MIX-ables Sheer Shimmer Mist before adding the pearls.
Here's a shot of the pretty shimmer.

Creating Custom Patterned Paper
I started with a piece of Smooth White card stock and placed several drops of Bubble Gum Premium Dye Ink Refill on my craft sheet. Then I misted the ink with water, mixed it up and spread it out a little on the craft sheet.
Then I smooshed (that's the technical term) my card stock into the ink a couple of times to colour it pink. I love the uneven, almost marbled look and that's exactly what I was going for.
Next I added a few drops of Lemon Drop Premium Dye Ink Refill to the craft mat and misted it with water.
I used the paint brush to pick up the colour then tapped it over the pink coloured card stock to get the splatter effect.
Then I did the same process with Razzle Berry Premium Dye Ink Refill. It looks like dark red in the photo because the colour is so concentrated, but the splatters are definitely Razzle Berry. VoilĂ ! Custom patterned paper!
Once the card stock was dry (I sped up the process with my heat tool) I used the Blissful Butterflies Die-namics to cut out the four butterflies. I wanted them to have a little shimmer so I misted them with MIX-ables Sheer Shimmer Mist.
