Something for Mom

It's time for the monthly MFT design team creative challenge, and this month it's "all about Mom". With Mother's Day just around the corner in May, it's a perfect challenge! And best of all, I know my card won't be late because it's already made (and I've added a reminder in my calendar to actually put it in the mail! LOL!!!).

I decided to use one of the sentiments from Big Greetings for my card today and I glammed it up with pink and bling. The layout is the April Sketch For You To Try. I used my circle STAX 1 & circle STAX 2 Die-namics to cut out the cream and fossil layers, then I cut out the hot fudge layer using the larger of the open scallop doily duo Die-namics.

For the flower accent I pulled out my pretty posies Die-namics and the button quartet Die-namics for the center. The fancy flourish Die-namics was the perfect accent behind the flower. The patterned papers are Glitz Pretty in Pink.

On the inside I used the fishtail flags STAX Die-namics to cut out the fossil flag, and the by the letters Die-namics to cut out the "x" and "o". My family's not really an outwardly emotional group, but I snuck in a little "I ❤ You" sentiment which is from the Say What set.
