Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek Day 1

It's time for sneak peeks of the new sets that will be available at Taylored Expressions on Friday, February 4th at 8am PST.

The first set we're sharing, Cozy Cottages, is the newest  in the TE Giving Tree program, and there are also three new dies, the picket fence die, the cloud duo die, and the whimsy tree die (which coordinates with the tree in Cozy Cottages).

For the months of February, March, and April, when you purchase Cozy Cottages you'll be helping to support Habitat for Humanity. Through the work of Habitat, many low-income families have found new hope in the form of affordable housing. Churches, community groups and others have joined together to successfully tackle a significant social problem - decent housing for all. Habitat for Humanity is a true world leader in addressing the issues of poverty housing, having built more than 350, 000 houses sheltering 1.75 million people in more than 3, 000 communities world wide. Please visit www.habitat.org for more information on this incredible charity. Taylored Expressions will donate $7.00 to Habitat for Humanity for each Cozy Cottages set sold in the next three months.

I made the cheeriest "welcome to the neighbourhood" card with Cozy Cottages and I incorporated the picket fence die {LOVE it} and the cloud duo die {another LOVE}. This set is full of the most adorable house images...the mushroom just makes me smile!!! I saved the boot for my Friday project and I have a little story to go along with it...but you'll have to wait a couple of days.

The images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto choice snow white and coloured with copics. I added sparkle with Spica glitter pens then cut out the houses. The picket fence and cloud duo dies both cut beautifully and the fence is long enough to easily span a standard sized card.

The patterned papers are from October Afternoon's Cherry Hill collection. I used my circles impression plate on the background piece of island mist light and tied some baker's twine around the fence for a fun accent. A corduroy button and a few Twinkles were all the card needed to finish it off.

The TE Giving Tree sets are the only ones that come in sheet form, so you'll need to give them a quick trim before you start stamping. This allows more money to be donated to charity. I cut out my set in a matter of minutes with these scissors.

I know the Baker's Dozen has plenty of fun and fabulous projects to share today so let's get hopping, shall we?
