I'm playing a little catch-up...we were away over Easter weekend, back home in Northern Ontario visiting my family {waves...hi everyone!}, so now I'm working on some of my favourite weekend sketches. This card uses Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #63.
I found this stamp (it's from Inkadinkado) at a little shop in Boston a few weeks ago and I bought is specifically to use for Taylor's challenges cause it has such a sweet little cupcake on the onesie. I know...I'm a nerd...I fully admit it! grin!
The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White cardstock, then I stamped it again onto patterned paper and cut out the onesie. Next I coloured the cupcake, cut it out and added it onto the paper pieced onesie. I added a Tiny Twinkle to the cupcake top. The rectangles are cut out with Nestabilities and I added a little paper piercing to the image panel to coordinate with the pierced scallop border punch.
The patterned papers are from Imaginisce, For Peep's Sake line, and the little white flowers come with that pretty sparkly blue center...cute! The solid cardstock colours are So Saffron and Baja Blue. I used an EK small scallop border punch on a strip of white and layered the same green patterned paper over top. Some saffron ribbon, a ghost heart and a blue button top off the image. To make the heart stand out a little more I added a line of Crystal Stickles around the edge.
Thanks for stopping by!
