Sweet Sunday Peeps

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC177.

Do you have your sunglasses handy? Because my card is pretty b-r-i-g-h-t today!

I used the brand-spankin'-new-not-even-released-yet-but-you-can-buy-it-tomorrow-night Pure Innocence One of My Favorite Peeps stamp set from My Favorite Things. I started with a card base of Sweet Tooth cardstock then added a layer of Orange Fizz. The patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye My Girl collection and that bright pink along the bottom is Razzle Berry cardstock. I added a strip of Pink Lemonade grosgrain ribbon to separate the patterned paper from the solid pink. For the sentiment at the top I used the Mini Tabs Foursome Die-namics to cut out the Sweet Tooth tab then stamped the sentiment using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.

For the image, I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending Card then I coloured her with copic markers and paper pieced her dress. I used the Rectangles 1 STAX and Rectangle 2 STAX Die-namics to cut out the white and orange layers then stitched them together.

I used the Flower Medley Die-namics to cut out the yellow flower and added the Berrylicious center, topped with a clear rhinestone, which I coloured with my Y18 copic marker.

On the inside I layered a few papers and stamped another sentiment from Pure Innocence One of my Favorite Peeps.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.

MFTeaser - Sew Cute

Welcome to day six of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!

It's Pure Innocence day and I have a darling card using the new Pure Innocence Cute as a Button set.

I started with a card base of Whip Cream then added a layer of Blu Raspberry and yellow cardstock. The patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Notable collection. I adore all the new MME collections!

For the image, I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending Card then coloured her with copic markers and fussy cut around her. I used the new Hexagon STAX Die-namics to cut out the orange patterned paper, then used the Sentiment Strips Die-namics to cut out the Whip Cream strip. I stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.

Check out the fun new Button Border Die-namics!! LOVE it!!! It comes with two parts, the border part with all the buttons attached and another strip of individual buttons that coordinate with the sizes on the border. It's so great because you can use them together, like I did here, or you can use the buttons individually. I threaded the buttons with Hemp Cord.

On the inside I stamped the image again with Memento Potter's Clay, then I stamped another sentiment from Pure Innocence Cute as a Button.

MFTeaser - Yee-Haw

Welcome to day five of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!

I have a fun little western scene using à la modes Cowboy at Heart. I love how he's twirling that lasso.

I started with a card base of Whip Cream then added a layer of Kraft and Hot Fudge. For the ground I tore strips of Natural cardstock then inked the torn edges with tea dye Distress Ink.

I stamped the cowboy with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloured him with copic markers. Then I fussy cut around him because I knew I wanted him to be standing in front of the fence. He's mounted on foam tape for a little dimension.

I used the new Barbed Wire Fence Die-namics to cut out the woodgrain posts (patterned paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Wanted collection) the cut the 'wire' from Whip Cream and coloured it with a sparkly Gelly Roll pen. I added a loop of Hemp Cord hanging from one of the posts for when this cowboy lassos his target.

For the sentiment I used the Mix and Match Banners Die-namics to cut out a piece of Natural cardstock then I stamped the sentiment using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. The patterned buttons were cut out using the new Button Border Die-namics.

On the inside I stamped the cowboy again then added one of the sentiments from this month's triple scoop set, Western Sentiments. Everything was stamped using Kraft Premium Dye Ink.
