MFT New Product Tour - You Make My Day

It's finally time to shop for all the fabulous new MFT products we teased you with this past week. You'll find it all in the Brand Spankin' New section of the MFT Boutique.

I used You Make My Day to create three cards for tonight's post. I really like the sentiments in this set.

First up is my butterflies card.

I couldn't resist choosing butterfly patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Dolled Up collection. I started with a card base of Whip Cream then added a layer of Steel Grey and stitched on the patterned paper. I used the Designer Labels 1 STAX Die-namics to cut out the Kraft element to anchor all the smaller elements. The layout is RS45.

I used the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics to cut out the Whip Cream and Sno Cone flags, but I ran the straight end through the flag again to have fishtails on both ends. I stamped the sentiment with the new Black Licorice ink...love! It's the ink I reach for now for any black stamping except if I'm colouring with copic markers. It's more black than Memento Tuxedo black and seems to stamp the lines just a little bolder.

I used the Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics to cut out the green patterned flourish and added a Pink Lemonade butterfly which I cut out using the Notched Tag Die-namics.

My second card is very clean and simple.

I started with a base of Whip Cream then added a layer of Pink Lemonade and another layer of Whip Cream which I ran part way through my modern wallpaper embossing folder. I stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice Ink.

For the accent I added a strip of Pink Lemonade grosgrain ribbon and used the new Rustic Hearts Die-namics to cut out the two hearts. One heart is cut from Pink Lemonade and the other is cut from a patterned paper from the Carta Bella Devoted collection.

For my last card I went with another clean layout but added more colour.

I started with a Whip Cream card base again, then added a layer of Sno Cone and Tangy Orange cardstock. I ran the Tangy Orange layer through my swiss dots embossing folder.

I used the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics and the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics to cut out the patterned paper flags (from the Authentique Fresh collection). I stamped the sentiment from You Make My Day onto the Whip Cream flag using Black Licorice ink.

I used the Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics to cut out the grey flourish and used the gorgeous Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die-namics to cut out the patterned paper for the flower. Check out the dimension on this beauty. Isn't it gorgeous!!!

MFTeaser - News Flash

Welcome to day six of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!

Today I have a fun card using the new Pure Innocence Read All About It stamp set. This is one of two new Pure Innocence sets being released this month.

I started with a card base of Whip Cream then added layers of Berrylicious and Orange Fizz card stock. The patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye Happy Day collection. I used the Accent It - Labels and Tags Die-namics to cut out the little arrow then stamped "News Flash" using the new Black Licorice ink.

For the image I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending Card then cut it out using the Circle 1 STAX Die-namics. I paper pieced the chair and ottoman and coloured the rest of the image with copic markers.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from Pure Innocence Read All About It.

Sweet Sunday Thank You

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC175.

I created a pretty Thank You card using one of the sentiments from Gift Card Greetings II, available at My Favorite Things.

I started with a base of Whip Cream cardstock then added a layer of Kraft, Tangy Orange and some floral paper panels from the Basic Grey Lucille collection. To separate the floral panels I added a piece of Berrylicious carstock then another strip of Tangy Orange topped with crochet trim. The little scallop accent was cut out using the Small Scallop Border Die-namics.

I used the Circle 1 STAX and Circle 2 STAX Die-namics to created the focal point from Kraft, Whip Cream, and patterned paper. I stitched a piece of Berrylicious grosgrain ribbon to brighten it up a little. The sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo black. Gift Card Greetings II is designed to work with the Gift Card Pocket-Horizontal Die-namics, but I love that the sentiments are versatile enough to shine on their own.

For the flower I used the Pretty Posies Die-namics to cut out some corrugated cardboard and a coordinating patterned paper, then I topped it with a Tangy Orange button and some Hemp Cord.

On the inside I added a few layers of cardstock then stamped a different 'thank you' sentiment from On the Line.
