Thinking of You {MFTWSC85}

I'm here today to share my card for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch 85.

I'm a little late with my card this week because I was away on vacation and didn't even touch a stamp for over a week. I had a fabulous time though, in beautiful Kelowna, British Columbia, hiking, eating, kayaking, visiting wineries, and of course, doing just a little shopping. :-)

For my card I went the floral route and used Inspired by Flowers 4. I chose patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Bluebell paper pad and stamped the image with Memento Nautical Blue ink directly onto one of the patterns. The main image and layer was cut out using the Rectangle 1 and Rectangle 2 STAX Die-namics. I added in some navy, yellow, teal and Kraft card stocks to compliment the patterned papers. I used the Oval Tab Die-namics for the sentiment and jazzed up the stamped flower with a Natural button, tied with this fabulous Hemp Cord. You need this Hemp Cord!!! I use it all the time!

I used the Botanical Beauty Die-namics to cut out the flower and added another Natural button to the center. A few loops of Hemp Cord tucked behind the flower finish it off nicely.

On the inside I used the Triple Scallop Border Die-namics to cut out the yellow patterned paper then stamped another sentiment from the set.

You still have time to play along with this week's sketch. Here are all the details:

There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC85. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!

Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog to view the entire list of design team participants...there's plenty of inspiration for you with today’s sketch!

Sweet Sunday Smile

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC165.

I made a fun card using Behind the Camera stamps and Die-namics from My Favorite Things, along with some new My Mind's Eye paper.

I started by cutting out the camera from Kraft card stock then I added a layer of Whip Cream and patterned paper along the middle of the camera. By the way, the patterned paper is all from the MME Tangerine paper pad. Then I cut out the Whip Cream circle and added some bling. Finally I cut out the "lens" circle from Hot Fudge card stock and coated it with a nice thick layer of glossy accents, so it's super shiny! I popped the "lens" on foam tape for a little dimension too.

Next I used my Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics to cut out the three flags along the bottom and I stamped "smile" from the set with Memento Espresso Truffle.

I used the gorgeous Botanical Beauty Die-namics to cut out the Tangy Orange flower and topped it with an Orange Fizz button. I used Orange Fizz card stock for one of the base layers too.

On the inside I stamped one of my favourite sentiments from the set and added a feminine touch by using the Triple Scallop Border Die-namics to cut out the polka dot strip.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.

Hello {MFTWSC84}

It's time to get sketchy with the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club and sketch 84.

I really wanted to use the new Inspired by the Front Porch-Fall set that was released last night, so I flipped the sketch and used the mirror image, which works well with the chair image.

I started by using the Designer Labels 4 STAX Die-namics to cut out the cream focal point then I stamped the image with Memento Espresso Truffle. I added Kraft and Hot Fudge card stocks to compliment the patterned paper which is My Mind's Eye Lavender. I used the Sentiment Strips Die-namics to cut out the flag for the "hello" stamp and added a Natural button.

The card needed to be 'prettied-up' a little more so I used the Layered Rose Die-namics to cut out a Kraft flower topped with another Natural button. The Faux Crochet Border Die-namics cut from Kraft adds another feminine touch to the layers.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from Inspired by the Front Porch-Fall.

Here are all the sketchy details:

Property of Team Awesome

We've teased you all week and now it's time for the MFT release and you'll find all the new goodies in the Brand Spankin' New section. In case you need a little more inspiration, the team has a recap of all the stamps and Die-namics. Be sure to start at the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers.

There's a $50 voucher to the MFT Boutique hidden along the way so be sure to leave some love as you hop around!!!

I worked with the fabulous Jersey stamps and Die-namics set. This set can definitely be either feminine or masculine, but I took the masculine route and made a card for one of my nephews.

The patterned papers are from the new My Mind's Eye Summer Splash paper pad and I added in some Lemon Drop, Red Hot, and navy card stock. I started by using the Jersey Die-namics to cut out a white jersey, then I cut out a red one and a patterned paper one and layered them together by snipping along the detail lines in the die. I used Memento Danube Blue to stamp the saying on the jersey. The Square 1 STAX Die-namics was perfect for cutting out the patterned background paper and the Double Dot Border Die-namics added a pop of yellow. Finally I added one of the arrows from Lead the Way Die-namics.

On the inside I paired more stamps from the Jersey stamps and Die-namics set with the Ticket Strip Die-namics to create a couple of All-Star tickets.

MFTeaser - Step Right Up

Welcome to day seven of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!!! It's the Die-namics feature and Pep Rally and I've created a fun scrapbook page to share.

Last month we went to the zoo and it was so much fun! I used the amazing Circus Spectacular stamps and Die-namics to create this fun Zoo page highlighting a couple of the beautiful animals we saw.

I started with a piece of Kraft cardstock and patterned papers from the Heidi Swapp Sugar Chic collection. I used By the Letters Uppercase Die-namics for the title, cutting the letters from cream and patterned papers then layering them. I love the squiggle arrow from Lead the Way Die-namics and it was perfect to help draw your eye from the title to the tickets, which I cut out using the Ticket Strip Die-namics. I used Versamagic Gingerbread ink to stamp the tickets and the lion.

For the elephant I used Versamagic Pink Petunia and the giraffe was stamped with Versamagic Turquoise Gem.

To balance the left side I used the Triple Scallop Border Die-namics to cut out some burlap then I added a flower which I cut out using the Layered Rose Die-namics. I topped the flower with a Natural Button and a twine bow.

Here's the finished page all framed in a black shadow box.
