I could not wait to paper piece these little cuties so I pulled out a new My Mind's Eye On the Bright Side-One paper pad. It's full of patterns that are perfect for cowgirls and cowboys! I added lots of brads down the left side and the orange strip was cut out using the Postage Border Die-namics, which made spacing the brads super easy!

The layout is the February Sketch for You to Try. Look at his cute little vest and bandana!! The rest of him is coloured with copic markers.

I cut out the Country Charms Die-namics from cork and attached each one with a brad.

I wanted to carry the cork over to the right side of the card so I cut out another piece using one of the Mix & Match Banners Die-namics and stamped the sentiment. Then I trimmed off the top to shorten it just a little and added a mini library clip.

On the inside I stamped one of the sentiments from the Country Charm Sentiments Mini set onto a piece which I cut out using the Chat Bubbles Die-namics.

Next up is my little cowgirl and she's as cute as can be!!! I cut out some real denim using the Simply Scallops Medium Die-namics then pleated it across the card.

I thought about piecing her skirt with real denim but this paper pack has the perfect denim paper so I made it easy on myself and used paper. Then I gave her the most darling red polka dot vest to coordinate with her hat.

Check out the gorgeous Royal Rose Die-namics! Isn't it beautiful with the scallopy petals that look so realistic?!? I cut my flower from wild cherry felt.

On the inside I combined the Sweet Stack Labels Die-namics with the First place Award Ribbon Die-namics and another sentiment from the Country Charm Sentiments Mini.

The Pure Innocence Country Charm VIP Collection is a limited quantity product that gives you the opportunity to purchase upcoming stamp sets and new Die-namics dies two weeks early!

Warm Winter Wishes

Today I'm sharing card #9 for Project Christmas 2012. Yay!

I found a fun new sketch challenge called the Merry Monday Challenge, and the only rule is you must make a Holiday card. Sweet!!! This should definitely help me stay on track with my Holiday card making all year long. The sketches started in January, but I jumped in for Merry Monday Challenge #7. My intention is to go back and do the first six at some point in the year.

I pulled out the My Mind's Eye Signature Christmas paper pad and thought Ice Skating Flopsey from MFT was a good pairing. He's stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with copic markers. I paper pieced the skating rink and ran the kraft oval through my seeing spots embossing folder before adding three brown brads. The sentiment is from Pure Innocence Holiday Hugs Snowman and I stamped it on a piece of cream which I cut out using the Chat Bubbles Die-namics. I shortened the chat bubble a little using my tutorial in this post. The blue background piece was embossed with the SU snow burst embossing folder.

Hello, friend

I adore the Ring Me stamps and Die-namics set from MFT! It's full of perfect sentiments to stay connected with family and friends. Today I went for a psychedelic patterned phone using one of the papers from the Echo Park Happy Days 6x6 paper pad. I just couldn't resist pairing the black and white print with hot pink.

I used the new chat bubbles Die-namics to cut out the white piece for the sentiment, but you wouldn't know it because I added a flower to each end. See how versatile the chat bubbles Die-namics are?!? The flower was cut out using the flower and leaf trio Die-namics and I added  a white brad to the center.

You're Smokin' {MFTWSC59}

It's time to get sketchy with the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club and sketch 59.

I reached for one of the newest Pure Innocence sets that I didn't get a chance to ink up during the February release, Pure Innocence Firefighter Girl.

This layout through me for a bit of a loop because I wasn't crazy about all the open space on the right side of the card, so I took a little creative liberty and added and orange piece which I cut out with the mix & match banners Die-namics. Then I added a couple of black brads to tie in the black base layer. The sentiment was stamped on a cream piece that I cut out using the narrow banner from the first place award ribbon Die-namics.

I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black and gave her a fun blue and orange uniform thanks to my copic markers. She needed just a little bling though so I added a clear rhinestone to her hat then coloured it with my B95 marker. I popped the image on foam tape for a bit of dimension. The patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye On The Bright Side-One 6x6 pad.

Here are all the sketchy details:

There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC59. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!

Bundle of Baby

It's time for the monthly designers' Creative Challenge from My Favorite Things and this month's challenge was to create a baby themed project. Be sure to head over to Kim's blog for a list of all participating designers.

Soft colours are the first thing that come to mind when I think of anything baby related, so first I found the patterned papers I wanted to use, My Mind's Eye Howdy Doody. Oooh, I just realized it has "doody" in the name...so perfect for babies...eeks! LOL!

Once I found the patterned papers, then I looked for the stamp set I wanted to use and landed on à la mode - Bundle of Baby. The layout is MTMEPPS47, slightly modified to fit my vision.

The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and I paper pieced her pretty tunic top, along with the stripe on the rattle. The rest is coloured with copic markers. I used one of the tabs from the mini tabs Die-namics for the sentiment and cut out a white strip using the little open scallop strip Die-namics for along the bottom of the striped piece.

I think my favourite part is the little baby shaped accents. The patterned paper circles were punched out with a 1 1/8" circle punch. The baby shapes were cut out using the notched tag Die-namics, cut from puff cloud white felt. But I wanted to pop them on foam dots for dimension in addition to the texture, so I cut the same three shapes from white card stock then just glued the felt to the card stock for a more rigid shape.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the set and lined up the same three shapes along the bottom, cut from fossil card stock.
