Sweet Sunday Coffee

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC167.

I adore this sketch with the fabulous circle element and the vertical flag. I definitely think I'll be reaching for this sketch over and over.

I used the new Clearly Sentimental about Coffee set from My Favorite Things, paired with patterned papers from the Echo Park Sweet Day collection. I'm loving the fresh shades and colours in this pack! I stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black and added a piece of patterned paper before cutting it out with the Circle 1 STAX Die-namics. I used the Circle 2 STAX Die-namics to cut out the Steel Grey layer then stitched them together. I used the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics to cut out the burlap flag and the Small Scallop Border Die-namics was perfect for the horizontal accent. I love how the papers pop on the Orange Fizz background.

The flower was cut out using the new Flower Medley Die-namics and I topped it with an Orange Fizz button tied with Hemp Cord.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.

MFTeaser - New Cave

Welcome to day six of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!!

I have  a "new home" card to share today, using Pure Innocence Prehistoric Girl. She's just so adorable!

I kept the layout rather clean and simple and chose the fresh colours based on the Echo Park Sweet Day paper pad. I complimented the patterned papers with Steel Grey and Orange Fizz card stocks. I used the Harlequin Die-namics to cut out the orange patterned paper then layered it over a Steel Grey harlequin.

For the image I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured her with copic markers. Her dress is paper pieced. I used the Rectangle 1 STAX Die-namics to cut out the polka dot paper behind her.

MFTeaser - Let's Hang Out

Welcome to day four of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!

Today I have a fun Halloween card to share, that I created using the new Spider Web Stamps and Die-namics.

There's very little stamping here...it's mostly made from Die-namics dies, which  means it came together really quickly. Yay!

I started with papers from the Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor collection. I used a black and white patterned paper to cut out the spider web and thought the orange polka dot paper was fun for the spider. I couldn't resist adding some googlie eyes! I used the Chat Bubbles Die-namics to cut out the Grape Jelly strip for the sentiment and tucked the end under a big Steel Grey button, which I tied with Lilac twine.

The Picket Fence was cut out of Steel Grey card stock then I used the High Rise Lowercase Alphabet Die-namics to cut out the Orange Fizz "boo" letters. I turned the letters into faux epoxy stickers by first covering them with Star Dust Stickles. Once that was completely dry I coated them with a generous layer of Glossy Accents. I love the dimension and sparkle!

MFTeaser - So Many Blends

Welcome to day three of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!

Today I used the fabulous new Clearly Sentimental about Coffee. Yum!!! I love coffee...the smell of it first thing in the morning is the best!! LOL!!

My card is a little smaller than my usual square sized cards. This one measures 4.25 inches and I used the Splitcoast sketch SC401, but I flipped it upside down. I used the Rectangle 1 STAX Die-namics to cut out the sentiment panel and the Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX Die-namics was perfect for the vertical element.

Isn't that patterned paper cool? It's from the Honey collection by My Mind's Eye and I paired it with the new Steel Grey card stock along with Pink Lemonade. I combined two of the blooms from the Flower Medley Die-namics and topped it with a Razzle Berry Button tied with Hemp Cord.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from Clearly Sentimental about Coffee and used the Harlequin Die-namics to cut out the patterned paper.

Clearly Sentimental about Coffee is the Triple Scoop set for this release, which means you earn it FREE with a qualifying $60 order. Woo hoo!!!

Snow Buddies {MFTWSC88}

It's time to get sketchy with the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club and sketch 88.

This is a fun sketch and a little out of the box for me. I took the opportunity to create card #27 for Project Christmas 2012. I used the adorable Fred Bear - Snow Bear set which is on sale over in the MFT Boutique.

I used the Jumbo Banner Day STAX Die-namics to cut out the Wild Cherry banner and layered it onto a base of Kraft card stock. The base layer of Berrylicious card stock coordinates perfectly with the patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye 12 Days of Christmas paper pack, which I cut out using the Squiggle Border Die-namics.

I used Circle 2 STAX Die-namics to cut out the image panel and stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black. I coloured the image with copic markers and added glitter to the falling snowflakes. The Let it Snowflake Die-namics were perfect for cutting out the big polka dot snowflake and I topped it with a Berrylicious button tied with Hemp Cord.

Here are all the sketchy details:
There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC88. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!

Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog to view the entire list of design team participants...there's plenty of inspiration for you with today’s sketch!

MFTeaser - BOO to You!

Welcome to day one of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!

Today I have a clean and simple card to share using the fabulous Primitive Pumpkins Stamps and Die-namics from Lisa Johnson Designs.

I started with a Kraft card stock base layer and added Tangy Orange underneath for a pop of colour. Then I cut out the three sizes of pumpkins from cream cardstock. I stamped two of them with Versamagic Pumpkin Spice and the third one was stamped with Versamagic Mango Madness. I used the new Picket Fence Die-namics to cut out the green Jellybean Green fence. Once the fence and pumpkins were in place, I stamped the vines on the largest pumpkin using Versamagic Spanish Olive. I added a Tangy Orange button and curled some Hemp Cord around my paper piecer for a fun little detail.

I kept the inside super simple, stamping the star border with Versamagic Pumpkin Spice and I added another sentiment from the set.

Here are the details about the upcoming release:
  • You can attend the New Release Party on September 10 from 8-10 PM EST HERE in the MFT forum, where you can WIN PRIZES!
  • The MFT release, including all new stamp sets and Die-namics, is on September 10 at 10 PM EST.  You'll find all the newest products HERE at release time.
