I'm hoping I've used the correct colours, but of course I have a little back story on that. I don't know her school colours and I tried looking it up online but I couldn't find the answer. So I asked hubby, and he didn't know, but he humoured me and texted his brother. The answer came back...blue and white. Great! But what shade of blue? Baby blue? Navy blue? Powder blue? Medium blue? Light blue? True blue? Royal Blue? You get the idea. I asked hubby for clarification and he gave me "the look". Doh! Why doesn't he see the importance of clarification? I know you get it...right? But I knew I wouldn't get any more information than I already had, so I just went with it.
I ended up choosing a patterned paper with lots of different shades of blue, Pebbles Family Ties collection. I started with a Sweet Tooth card base then added a layer of SU pacific point and Sno Cone. The layout is SC437 from Splitcoast. I ended up adding some yellow because the card needed a pop of colour among all the blue and white.
I stamped à la modes Grad Girl with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending Card, coloured her with copic markers then fussy cut around her. She's adhered with foam dots for a little dimension.
I used the Sentiment Strips Die-namics to cut out the Sweet Tooth flag then stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. Along the bottom of the striped piece I added a Sweet Tooth scalloped piece which I cut out using the Open Simply Scallops Trio Die-namics.
For the bow element I used the Dainty Bows Die-namics to cut out the Sweet Tooth felt bow. I know the felt bow will still look good even after it's been through the postal system.
On the inside I stamped the girl again with Sno Cone Premium Dye Ink then added another sentiment from à la modes Grad Girl.
Here are the supplies I used:
