MFTeaser - It's Tea Time

Welcome to day five of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!

Today I have a tea-riffic card to share using the new à la modes You're My Cup of Tea set. She's adorable with that big steaming mug of tea!

I started with a base of Sweet Tooth cardstock then layered on Kraft and more Sweet Tooth. I cut up some Berrylicious cardstock into strips and ran it through my modern wallpaper embossing folder for a little texture. The Insert It - Instaframe Die-namics was perfect for this image so I cut it once from X-Press It Blending Card then again from patterned paper from the Basic Grey Picadilly collection. The layout is DS79, flipped on it's side.

I stamped à la modes You're My Cup of Tea with Memento Tuxedo Black onto the middle panel of the X-Press It Blending Card then I coloured her with copic markers and I paper pieced the cup. Tip: To stabilize the cut out image panel in the frame, I used the Insert It - 3x4 Insert Die-namics to cut out a Lemon Drop piece and adhered it to the back of the Insert It - Instaframe Die-namics. They're exactly the same size so it works beautifully every time.

For the sentiment strip I used the Sentiment Strips Die-namics to cut out a piece of Sweet Tooth cardstock then stamped the sentiment with the new MFT Lemon Drop ink. I used the new Winter Rose Die-namics to cut out the Orange Fizz felt and backed it with an Orange Fizz cardstock flower so I'd be able to shape the petals. I topped the flower with a Lemon Drop button and added a loopy Hemp Cord bow.

On the inside I stamped the image again with MFT Lemon Drop ink and added another sentiment from à la modes You're My Cup of Tea.
