MFTeaser - It's Your Birthday

Welcome to day five of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!!!

It's à la modes day and I have a fun card using à la modes On Safari. I just love those big binoculars and her cute safari hat!!!

I started by stamping the image with Memento Tuxedo Black then I coloured it with copic markers. I coated the lenses of the binoculars with clear glaze pen for a more realistic look. For the sentiment I used on of the new Sentiment Strips Die-namics to cut out the Fossil card stock piece then I stamped the sentiment and stitched it to the image panel. It's a bit of an unconventional placement but I like the result. The image is layered onto Jellybean Green card stock.

I love the new Jumbo Cloud STAX Die-namics and I used two sizes of them to cut out the Puff Cloud White felt. Here's a tip: I like to back my felt clouds with white card stock to keep them rigid and it also makes them easier to adhere with foam boosters.

For the skyline I combined the new Solid Skyline Die-namics with the original Skyline Border Die-namics. I LOVE that they are exactly the same shape so it's now super easy to get the glowing "lights are on" look in the windows.

I used the Solid Skyline Die-namics to cut out the Lemon Drop card stock and the Skyline Border Die-namics to cut out the Fossil card stock.

Then I just used some liquid glue to adhere the two layers together (I use liquid glue for this because it gives me a little working time to slide the two layers around and get them perfectly lined up). I topped it all with some twine and a Sunflower button.

On the inside I stamped her again with Memento Peanut Brittle and added another sentiment from the set. The patterned papers are all from the October Afternoon 9 to 5 collection.

MFTeaser - Little Prince

Welcome to day four of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!!

I have an adorable card to share today, which I created with the new Baby Onesie Stamps and Die-namics set. How cute is this!!!

This set has a fabulous variety of stamps for both boy and girl cards. I started by cutting out the onesie from Fossil card stock using the Baby Onesie Die-namics die. Love the embossed detail on the onesie. I stamped the crown with Memento Desert Sand and the words with Memento Teal Zeal, then I added three baby brads for the closure on the onesie. I used the Jumbo Squiggle Border Die-namics to cut out the yellow polka dot paper for the horizontal accent on the main panel. The base layer is Sno Cone and I used my stars impression plate for some texture. I finished the main panel with some Flax Twine and a sweet heart button I found in my stash. The layout is the Deconstructed Sketch 58 and the papers are from the My Mind's Eye Blink of an Eye paper pad.

On the inside I used the edge cut from the polka dot squiggle on the front of the card and cut out another onesie, then used a couple more stamps from the set.

MFTeaser - Happy Girls

Welcome to day three of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!!!

I've made a simple card today which highlights one of the amazing sentiments from Clearly Sentimental about Audrey Hepburn, which is the new Triple Scoop set for the July release. You'll earn this set for FREE with a qualifying $60 order in July, just remember to add it to your cart.

I used a clean layout, the Deconstructed Sketch #37, paired with a fun patterned paper from Echo Park Hello Summer. I'm loving this paper pad!

I stamped the sentiment with Brilliance Graphite Black ink onto Fossil card stock and added a row of pink rhinestones to jazz it up. Then I used the new Vine Border Die-namics to cut out the Sour Apple vine and I reached for the Plentiful Petals Die-namics again for the gorgeous patterned paper flower.

MFTeaser - All About YOU!

Welcome back for day two of seven fabulous day of MFT teasers!!!

Today I'm showcasing the adorable new Flopsey set, You Lift Me Up Flopsey.

I love love LOVE him holding the three balloons and I think you'll be surprised that the sentiments in this set don't just revolve around a birthday celebration. MFT is so smart!!!

I stamped Flopsey with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured him with copic markers, then I paper pieced the balloons with patterns from the Simple Stories Summer Fresh 6x6 pad. I fussy cut around Flopsey so I could show more of the fabulous new Rounded Banner STAX Die-namics. I cut out two sizes then stitched them together for Flopsey's background.

I used the Jumbo Squiggle Border Die-namics again for the strips across the top. I cut out a piece of yellow first and used the negative cut for the top border, then I cut out a blue patterned piece and placed it nice and cozy right next to the yellow strip. I added a few rhinestones for some bling.

Check out the gorgeous gingham flower I created using the Plentiful Petals Die-namics...LOVE!! I added a Sunflower button to the center to tie in the yellow. The card base layers are Fossil card stock and SU night of navy.

On the inside I stamped Flopsey again then pulled out my new Sentiment Strips Die-namics for the sentiment. You could use this card for just about anyone and any occasion, but I'm using mine as a birthday card. :-)

Thank You {MFTWSC78}

It's time to get sketchy with the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club and sketch 78.

You may recall that last Sunday I made a Thank You card for a doctor, well I couldn't leave out the nurse, so I used Pure Innocence Best Medicine for today's card.

I paired patterned papers from October Afternoon 9 to 5 with Fossil, cream and yellow. The Little Open Scallop Border Die-namics was perfect for the scallopy layer and I added some tiny bling to jazz it up a little. Then I wrapped some Flax Twine and tied a bow. The small banner from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics was perfect for the "Thank You" sentiment, which is from the All Occasion Sentiments.

For the image I paper pieced her apron and coloured the rest with copic markers. I added some sparkle to the orange crosses thanks so my orange Spica glitter pen. I used my SU lattice embossing folder to emboss the Fossil layer and I love how it mimics the cross on her hat. Too cute!

There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC78. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!
Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog to view the entire list of design team participants...there's plenty of inspiration for you with today’s sketch!
