The double ended flag at the top of the sketch threw me for a bit of a loop at first because it just seems to be floating there, but as soon as I decided on my image I knew it would work well as a speech bubble.
I started with a card base of Sweet Tooth then added a layer of Lemon Drop and Sno Cone cardstocks. The blue polka dot paper is from the Pebbles Family Ties collection.
The image is from the Pure Innocence Pucker Up stamp set. She's adorable at her lemonade stand, a sure sign of summer! Please...let it be summer soon! LOL! I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending Card then coloured her with copic markers. I used the Circle 1 STAX Die-namics to cut out the image and popped it on foam tape for dimension.
I used the Chat Bubbles Die-namics to cut out the speech bubble then stamped the sentiment using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. Then I ran the piece through the same die again to shorten the Chat Bubble.
For the horizontal element I used the Mini Double Dot Border Die-namics to cut out the Lemon Drop Strip. I used the die again to shorten the strip to just the right length so both ends are rounded (I did the same thing on the strip on the inside of the card). I finished it with a Sno Cone button tied with Hemp Cord.
On the inside I added another sentiment from Pure Innocence Pucker Up.
Here are all the sketchy details:
There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC117. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!
