Sweet Roses

It's time for the New Product Tour from My Favorite Things. Today is part one and you'll see even more inspiration from the design team tomorrow. All the new products will be available for purchase in the MFT Boutique under the Brand Spankin' New section tomorrow night, April 9th at 10pm EST. Hop over to the MFT Blog for a list of today's participating designers.

I used the fabulous new Sweet Roses stamp set and the coordinating Roses and Leave Die-namics to create two cards today.

My first card uses the Blueprints 2 Die-namics and follows one of the provided layouts. I still can't get over what an amazingly innovative product the Blueprints are and I've worked with them for two months now. You really should have them on your shopping list.

I started with a Whip Cream card base then added a layer of Kraft, as per the sketch, cutting it perfectly to size with the Blueprints 2 Die-namics. Then I used the Darling Dots stamp set to create the background, stamping it with Kraft Premium Dye Ink. Next I used the Blueprints 2 Die-namics to cut out the two Pink Lemonade strips.

I used the Blueprints 2 Die-namics to cut out the small Pink Lemonade tab then topped it with a Factory Green button tied with Hemp Cord.

I cut the main oval out of Hot Fudge and Whip Cream card stocks. I stamped the sentiments with Hot Fudge Premium Dye Ink...love...and added three pearls. The floral accent was fun to create. I used the Roses and Leaves Die-namics to cut out the Whip Cream bloom and leaves and stamped the flower and leaves from Sweet Roses using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. Then I paper pieced them with Pink Lemonade and Factory Green card stocks. I added a little shading with copic markers. The flower has three layers all popped on foam tape for dimension. It's so pretty in real life!

Here's a shot of the dimension on the flower.

On the inside I stamped another of the flowers using Pink Lemonade Premium Dye Ink and Factory Green Premium Dye Ink. I stamped the flower first then masked it so I could stamp the leaves.

Next up is a bright and cheery card.

I started with a Sweet Tooth card base then added a layer of Orange Fizz and another Sweet Tooth layer. The main panel is Kraft card stock stitched onto Hot Fudge.

I used the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics to cut out the Orange Fizz sentiment tab then stamped the "hello" from Sweet Roses with versamark ink and heat embossed it with white powder.

For the flowers I used the Roses and Leaves Die-namics to cut out three Smooth White flowers and leaves. Then I stamped the leaves with Factory Green Premium Dye Ink and cut narrow strips of Factory Green card stock for the stems. The flowers were stamped with Lemon Drop Premium Dye Ink, Razzle Berry Premium Dye Ink, and Orange Fizz Premium Dye Ink. Then I topped each flower with the same colour of button tied with Hemp Cord (Lemon Drop button, Razzle Berry button, and Orange Fizz button).

On the inside I had fun with one of the images from Border It - Mod Borders. I inked four chevrons with Razzle Berry Premium Dye Ink, stamped it onto Smooth White card stock, then cleaned the stamp, inked it with Lemon Drop Premium Dye Ink and stamped the rest of the chevron. I added another sentiment from Sweet Roses using Hot Fudge Premium Dye Ink.
