The sketch is a square, but I decided to make a rectangular card instead, and I slightly changed the place of one of the panels, but all in all it's not too far from the original sketch. If you ever feel like making little changes to a sketch, go ahead and do it! I think it just personalizes it. And sketches are for inspiration, so let it inspire you to be creative! :-)
I used Pure Innocence Goldfish Girl for my card today. I can remember having goldfish when I was a little girl. My dad has severe allergies to all things furry, so we were never able to have regular pets, but I could have as many fish as I wanted. I was up to 14 at one time once. I actually think goldfish were put on this earth to teach a difficult life lesson, because they never lived very long. LOL!
I paper pieced her outfit and the fishbowl stand with patterns from the My Mind's Eye Indie Chic Ginger 6x6 paper pad. The rest of the image was coloured with copic marker and I added a layer of clear glaze pen to the fishbowl. I used the Mix & Match Banners Die-namics to cut out the sentiment tab then stitched it in place on the image. I love how the black licorice card stock and black licorice ribbon really make the layers pop.
Here are the sketchy details:
There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC72. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!
