You Bring Me Joy

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC159.

I was slightly concerned about all the layers on this sketch, but once I chose my image (and flipped the sketch on it's side) it all seemed to come together thanks to many fabulous Die-namics dies. I used the adorable Pure Innocence Precious Little Lamb - Where Flowers Bloom set from MFT.

The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with copic markers. I added some yellow rhinestones to each of the flowers for a little sparkle. I used the fresh cut grass Die-namics die to cut out three strips of grass from sour apple felt, then stitched them to the image panel. I layered it on sour apple card stock for a coordinated look.

The patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Nostalgia 6x6 paper pad. For the sentiment I cut out the yellow piece using the file tab Die-namics. The two flag accents were cut out using one of the sizes from the fishtail flags STAX Die-namics and I used the smallest flower from the pretty posies Die-namics for the red polka dot flower. The base layers are sahara sand and berrylicious card stocks.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers came up with.

  6. Karen, this is so sweet! I almost flipped my card too (I struggled with this one) but couldn't get it to work. This little lamb image sitting in the grass is darling and I really like your color combo!
