Happy July 4th to all my American friends!
I printed the image on hubby's laser printer onto Choice Snow White cardstock then coloured it with copics. It took me a while to decide what colours to use but as soon as I looked at my bag of Savannah buttons I knew that would be my inspiration. It's full of all my favourite colours! I popped the flower for dimension and added some buttons to the tree.
I picked up the white shadow box at my local AC Moore, with a coupon of course. I really wanted the image to stand out as the focal point so I kept my patterned paper background "quiet" by using a lightly coloured piece from SU Bella Rose paper. The image is matted with chocolate chip so it stands out. I stitched around the image and around the white mat for a little interest but I used white thread to keep the stitching "quiet". I photographed my project without the glass to avoid a glare.
I absolutely LOVE this little shadow box and it's hanging in my stamp room right above my stamp table. It just makes me sooooo happy to look at. Aren't I the luckiest person to have an image designed just for me! Thank you Nancy!!!
Thanks for stopping by!
Karen
