Sweet Sunday Hello

***** Please scroll down for my MFT teaser post or click here *****

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC192.

I created a sweet card today using a brand new image from My Favorite Things, Pure Innocence It's a Sign, which will be available in the MFT Boutique on September 3rd at 10pm EDT, along with a bunch of other new products.

I started with a Sweet Tooth card base then added layers of Berrylicious and Kraft.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloured her with copic markers. I wanted the sign she's holding to look like a blackboard so I paper pieced it with Steel Grey and stamped the "hello" sentiment with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink. I adhered her with foam tape to a rectangle of Sweet Tooth card stock which I cut out using the new Pierced Rectangle STAX Die-namics.

Next I used the Washi Patterns and Washi Tape Die-namics to cut out the fun paper strips. I've got to say, I wasn't too sure about this sketch in the beginning but I really like how it all came together. I cut the washi strips from Banana Split, Steel Blue, and Berrylicious, then stamped them with Washi Patterns using Lemon Drop Premium Dye Ink, Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink, and Berrylicious Premium Dye Ink. I added a Kraft button tied with Hemp Cord eventhough there wasn't an embellishment on the sketch. I'm such a rebel!  :-)

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.
