MFTeaser - Anniversary Rose

Welcome to day two of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!!

Today I have a card that uses the gorgeous new Mona Pendleton Designs Blooming Roses and the coordinating Rose Bouquet Die-namics. Swoon! The new products will be available in the MFT Boutique on June 11th at 10pm EST. Hop over to the MFT Blog for a list of today's participating designers.

If you've been looking for a beautiful rose set then this one is for you. It's a two-step stamping set which gives beautiful results. I used the simplicity of FTL243 for the layout and let the rose take center stage.

I started with a card base of the new Primitive White card stock then added a rectangle of Razzle Berry. On the Kraft layer I used the new LJD Art Expression Text stamped with Kraft Premium Dye Ink along the top, then I inked the edges with the same Kraft ink. I used the Double Scallop Border Die-namics, cut out of Primitive White card stock for the horizontal element and I left it full length. I like the look of the ends overhanging the edges. The Blooming Roses stamp set doesn't contain sentiments, but it's perfect to pair with just about any saying. I chose to pair it with Clearly Sentimental about Anniversaries, which I stamped with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.

And here's that gorgeous rose bloom!! First I used the Rose Bouquet Die-namics to cut out the largest bloom from Smooth White card stock. Then I stamped the lightest layer using the new Bubblegum Premium Dye Ink. I used Razzle Berry Premium Dye Ink to stamp the second layer. It's super easy to line up the layers because MFT stamps are clear, so you don't need to use a stamp positioner...sweet! I added a little glitter to give the flower some sparkle. For the leaves I used the Rose Bouquet Die-namics to cut out the three leaves then stamped them with Factory Green Premium Dye Ink.

On the inside I simply stamped another rose bloom and stem from Blooming Roses.

Don't forget to hop over the the MFT Blog for a list of today's participating designers and prize info.

Here are the supplies I used:
