Today is all about our newest stamp designer...our very own Mona Pendleton has designed some amazing products: Dandelion Wishes stamp set, the coordinating Dandelion Stems and Toppers Die-namics, and the Distressed Background Blocks. All the new products will be available in the MFT Boutique on May 7th at 10pm EST.
I used the new Mini Album Square Scallop STAX Die-namics to create the card base from Steel Blue card stock.
Then I set to work distressing the card base by first stamping the circles from Distressed Background Blocks with white chalk ink, then I stamped the chicken wire with Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink. Who am I kidding though, it really wasn't work at all getting this distressed look since all the distressing is built right into the stamps. Sweet! Thanks for DE-stressing the distressing process Mona!
Then I created the main image panel by trimming a rectangle of Sno Cone and stamping it with the chicken wire image from Distressed Background Blocks using Sno Con Premium Dye Ink. Then I used my edge distressing tool to rough it up even more. I used the Dandelion Stems and Toppers Die-namics to cut out the Smooth White cardtsock for the flower. I stamped the stem with Factory Green Premium Dye Ink and stamped the dandelion bloom with Lemon Drop Premium Dye Ink. I used the two bloom images...the first one was stamped off onto scratch paper first to get a lighter yellow for the main impression, then I stamped the second image at full strength yellow, so there's a little definition in the flower.
For the sentiment I used the Label 4 STAX Die-namics to cut out the small Kraft label and stamped a sentiment from Dandelion Wishes with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. I added a Steel Blue button tied with Hemp Cord to finish it off.
