I've been a real slacker with my quest to make Christmas cards all year long lately so it was high time to get back to it. It's already mid April and this is only card #6 for Project Christmas 2013.
I used Who's That Girl - Snowman from My Favorite Things. I started with a Whip Cream card base then added a layer of Paver Red. The patterned papers are from the Carta Bella Winter Fun collection and I ran the background piece through my swiss dots embossing folder before stitching it in place.
I inked the edges of the main circle and the base layers with Kraft Premium Dye Ink and added two white brads, as per the sketch. For the vertical element I used a strip of Kraft card stock then used the Dizzy Border Die-namics to cut out the lacey-looking piece from Paver Red.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloured it with copic markers. I used the Circle 2 STAX Die-namics to cut out the image and the Circle 1 STAX Die-namics to cut out the Paver Red mat. A little Star Dust Stickles gives the image plenty of sparkle.
On the inside I stamped one of the sentiments from Who's That Girl - Snowman using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink and called it done!
I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.
