Today's new sets are more of a scrappy nature, and since I'm not really a scrapbooker, I found a way to incorporate them into a card. Love the versatility of MFT stamps! My parents' anniversary is November 25th, so I made their anniversary card. Just a note...I used Nightshift Blue felt and cardstock but I can't figure out how to edit the photos so it doesn't look like black. It's much softer looking in real life.
I started by stamping the calendar from Journal It - Calendar Basics with Memento Tuxedo black onto Kraft cardstock then I added the month of November in the header. The set also includes small numbers so you can fill out the calendar, but I decided to use the new High-Rise Numbers Die-namics for the date. I cut the numbers out of Nightshift Blue felt and backed them with Nighshift Blue cardstock for a little more stability. The yellow heart was cut out using the Hearts-a-Plenty Die-namics.
I used the Sentiment Strips Die-namics to cut out the Whip Cream strip for the "best day of the year" sentiment, which is from the new Document It - Days and Dates set. Then I reached for Clearly Sentimental about Anniversaries and stamped the "happy anniversary" sentiment. The patterned papers are from the Glitz Vintage Blue collection and I used the Small Scallop Border Die-namics to cut out the scallop strip from Nightshift Blue cardstock.
On the inside I stamped another sentiment from Clearly Sentimental about Anniversaries.
