Peace {MFTWSC98}

It's time to get sketchy with the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club and sketch 98.

I'm on a Christmas card roll so why stop now? I paired the gorgeous new Jumbo Snowflake Die-namics with Seasonal Sentiments for my card today. This makes card # ??? (I've lost count but I'm up over forty now with a few weeks to go so I'm in good shape card-wise) for Project Christmas 2012.

I used the Jumbo Snowflake Die-namics to cut out Sno Cone felt and I backed the snowflake with Sno Cone cardstock for a little more stability. I used the Rounded Banner STAX Die-namics to cut out the patterned paper from the Basic Grey Aspen Frost collection. The new Snow Drifts Die-namics was perfect for cutting the top edge of the Whip Cream snow, then I embossed it with my Swiss Dots embossing folder. I added a narrow edge of Stickles to the top of the snow for a little sparkle.

I added a big Whip Cream button tied with Hemp Cord for the smaller element and tucked a loopy Hemp Cord bow behind it. The strip of green along the bottom edge of the snow was cut out using the Small Scallop Border Die-namics.

I used the Sentiment Strips Die-namics to cut out the green polka dot paper then stamped "Peace" with Memento Tuxedo Black. I used the small snowflakes from Seasonal Sentiments to stamp the white snowflakes onto the Kraft background, which I layered onto Sno Cone cardstock.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from Seasonal Sentiments with Jellybean Green ink onto a circle I cut out using the Circle 2 STAX Die-namics. I tied in the snowflake on the front of the card by using the Let it Snowflake Die-namics to cut out the Sno Cone flake.

There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC98. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!

Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog to view the entire list of design team participants...there's plenty of inspiration for you with today’s sketch!

Here are the supplies I used:
