Today I've used the new Mouse in the House It's Your Birthday set. It's SO cute, and it comes with not just the main mouse image, but with this sweet bird and balloon image too! So I decided to let the bird fly up to center stage.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured it with copic markers. I paper pieced the balloon for added interest, then I cut out the image with the Circle 2 STAX Die-namics. I used the Square 1 STAX Die-namics to cut out the yellow striped square then ran it through my swiss dots embossing folder before stitching on the circle.
I chose patterned papers from the Echo Park Dots & Stripes collection, and added in some Kraft card stock to tame the bright colours a little. I used the new Triple Scallop Border Die-namics to cut out three scallop strips, two from blue polka dot paper and one from blue striped paper, then I layered in an interesting way. I finished the outside of the card by wrapping some Flax twine and tying a Sno Cone button.
On the inside I stamped the second part of the sentiment and added another scallop strip which I cut out using the Triple Scallop Border Die-namics again.
