Don't let the angled panels on the top and bottom scare you off...they're really easy to do, trust me!!! And the rectangle focal point it perfect for just about any image!!
I added to my stash of birthday cards and use Pure Innocence You're So Tweet. I paired her with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Gertie paper pad to paper piece her sweet dress. The rest of her is coloured with copic markers. Oh, and I flipped the sketch upside down because the flower fit better at her feet.

After seeing how so many people colour hair with copic markers, I'm trying to improve my hair colouring, and I think this little sweetie looks pretty good with her dark blonde hair. I still need more practice, but I think I'm on the right track.
I used the pretty posies Die-namics to create the flower and the center was cut from cherry on top felt for a little pop of colour.
On the inside I ran with the bird theme and cut out the bird using the homespun birdhouse Die-namics, then I cut a strip of cream using the solid bracket border Die-namics.
Here are all the sketchy details:
There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC57. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!
Be sure to head over to Kim's Blog to view the entire list of design team participants...there's plenty of inspiration for you with today’s sketch!
