TE Sneak Peeks Day 2!

Today I'm showing you two projects I made with the brand new Cuppie set, Downtown Diva. {{{squeal}}} It's SO adorable!!! The two new stamp sets, Fresh Flowers and Downtown Diva, will be available in the Taylored Expressions Store tomorrow, Sunday, April 5th, 8am Pacific, along with plenty of wonderful new accessories.
This first card uses Taylor's Cupcake Challenge sketch from yesterday. As soon as I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to use the sweet friends cupcake image from Downtown Diva. The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White and coloured with copics. The cupcake liners are paper pieced and I popped the heart for dimension. I stamped the smallest flower image from the set, coloured it and added it to each Cuppie's head.
Then I pulled out my Tiny Twinkles and added some around the scalloped circle and also to each of the little flower centers. I just love my Tiny Twinkles...yes, they're tiny, but they're perfect for so many applications. I apply them with tweezers and a dot of glue from my Quickie Glue Pen. And guess what? Taylor is releasing two new Tiny Twinkles carousels on Sunday! One is all clear rhinestones in various sizes and the other is multi-coloured twinkles in various shapes (hearts, stars, flowers, teardrops, squares, etc.). Yippeeee! AND, when you purchase one of each of the NEW Twinkles, you'll receive the original, multi-coloured twinkles free! See, I told you there was lots to look forward to with tomorrow's release!

Sorry, I got sidetracked...back to the card...The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye Bloom & Grow collection. I added an SU mini library clip and some ribbon from my stash to finish it off. By the time you read this, my card will already be in the mail, off to Calgary.  :)

Now for this darling little gift card holder. It's actually the Scalloped Purse die cut from the Taylored Expressions store. It comes flat so it's easy to decorate then just fold it up along the pre-scored lines. This purse has a tab closure so I didn't even need to use any adhesive...sweet!
I started by running the top half of the purse through my D'Vine Swirls cuttlebug folder, then I traced around the swirls with my Stardust Gelly Roll pen for lots of shimmer. I traced the handle opening onto one of the patterned papers in the Mother's Day Key Ingredients, cut it out, and adhered it to the flap.

I'm going to put a gift card for my Mom inside the purse for Mother's Day, so the Shop 'til you Drop sentiment and the cuppies on the sidewalk images from Downtown Diva are perfect! They're stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White and coloured with copics. I added some rhinestones from the Mother's Day Key Ingredients to the Cuppies and to the polka dotted flap. The rhinestone flower and swirls are also from the TE store, the Flower Flourish, which I cut apart to use the pieces separately. Now I just have to wait til I'm back home at Easter so I can pick up the gift card from my Mom's favourite store.

Visit the other Baker's Dozen blogs for more eye candy sneak peeks.

Tomorrow is release day and I'll have another sample to show you with the new sets.

Thanks for stopping by!
