Monster Bash

A really quick post for today. I'm exhausted...we were in Florida all weekend for a whirlwind of Super Bowl activities. I know, I know...you really don't have any pity for me for being at Super Bowl and now being tired...I completely understand. It certainly was a SUPER weekend though!   :)

I made this card a while back and forgot to share it here. My LSS started an online gallery (which anyone can join, by the way) and my friend Joanne runs a sketch challenge for the gallery.

This card uses the layout from the first sketch challenge in January.

I was in my 'boy cards' mode when I did this one. The stamp is from the Night Light set by October afternoon. It's such a cute set, with different little monsters. I'd been "visiting" the set at my LSS, Right at Home Scrapbooking, for a while now so I figured it was time to "adopt" it cause it would be so much fun for boy cards.

The little monster is stamped with Memento black onto Gina K pure luxury cardstock and coloured with copics. I made the little banner 'happy birthday' cause I wanted it to look like he was holding the sentiment (which is from SU Bitty Birthday). Of course, he was just calling out for googly eyes...LOVE the googlies! The image is layered on orange patterned paper, then onto Night of Navy and Garden Green.

The card base is Gina K 120lb pure luxury, followed by some Night of Navy. The patterned papers are from Pebbles Inc. School Days line. I did a little piercing around the perimeter of the card, then added some buttons. The image looked like it was just floating in the middle of the card so I anchored it with some navy grosgrain ribbon and brass Hodgepodge.

Hmmmm...looks like this post ended up being about the same length as my regular ones...so much for a quick post. See, I get energized when I do anything stamping related.   :)

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. This is really cute - if this is a light stamp set it might have to come to my house for a visit
