Sweet Sunday Flurry

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC191.

I used this week's sketch to add another card to my holiday card stash, bringing my total to 15 for Project Christmas 2013. But this is no ordinary holiday card...I used a very unconventional colour combination thanks to cQc #202 from the Colour Q.

I started with a Sweet Tooth card base then added a layer of Banana Split and a layer of Steel Grey. Then I used the Pierced Circle STAX Die-namics to cut out the circle of X-Press It Blending Card. I stamped the image from Pure Innocence Flurry of Love with Memento Tuxedo Black then coloured her with copic markers. I added white liquid appliqué to her hat and her boots and the sparkle on the snowflakes is thanks to some Rock Candy Distress Glitter. The image is mounted on foam tape for a little dimension.

I used the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics and the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics to cut out the Banana Split and Lemon Drop flags. On the Steel Grey background piece I used the Darling Dots, stamped with Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink, to add the big polka dots.

On the inside I used the smaller polka dots from Darling Dots, stamping them with Banana Split Premium Dye Ink, then I added a sentiment from Pure Innocence Holiday Hugs Snowman, stamped with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.

I hope you'll play along and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.
