Today I have a fun Halloween card that I created using the new à la modes Bewitching stamp set. And I couldn't resist using Fuse Green again...it's just perfect for Halloween colour combinations, among other things!!
All the new products will be available in the MFT Boutique on August 6th at 10pm EDT. Hop over to the MFT blog for more details.
I built this card on a Whip Cream card base and I used the base layer from Blueprints 6 Die-namics to cut out the Fuse Green layer. I love the rounded corners on that die shape.
I stamped à la modes Bewitching with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloured her with copic markers. I wanted to paper piece her dress so I created my own patterned paper by stamping the small dots from Washi Patterns with Grape Jelly Premium Dye Ink onto Grape Jelly card tsock. Then I stamped the image over top and cut out her dress and the hat band. I used the new Web Stencil to create the pattern on the background by sponging Fuse Green Premium Dye Ink.
I used another element from Blueprints 6 Die-namics to cut out the Black Licorice button accent and stitched it in place. Then I topped it with a Fuse Green button tied with Hemp Cord. I like how this particular button is semi-transparent and you can see the Hemp Cord through it.
Along the bottom of the card I used the same base layer die to cut out a strip of Black Licorice, then I used the scallop from Blueprints 6 Die-namics to cut out the Grape Jelly piece. It needed a little pop of orange so I added a narrow strip of Orange Fizz. Then I stamped one of the sentiments from the set using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.
On the inside I simply stamped the girl with Grape Jelly Premium Dye Ink and added another sentiment from à la modes Bewitching.
You'll find more information on the MFT Blog along with a list of today's participating designers.
