I decided to flip the sketch onto it's side because, well, I'm not really sure why I did it because the images I used would have worked with the sketch upright too, but I really like how this turned out flipped on it's side. So there. That's why. ;-)
I saw the colour combo on Betsy Veldman's blog on this post and fell in love with the combination. I love the pop of the brighter yellow with the pastel tones. Thanks for a winner Betsy! I used supplies from My Favorite Things, starting with a Sweet Tooth card base then added a layer of Kraft.
I used the Circle 1 STAX Die-namics to cut out the Pink Lemonade circle then I used images from Peaceful Wildflowers to create the focal point. I stamped the tall flowers with Versamark directly onto the circle then embossed them with white embossing powder. Next I used the Wildflowers Die-namics to cut out the Smooth White flower shape. I inked the flower with Lemon Drop Premium Dye Ink then, very carefully, inked the stems and leaves with Gumdrop Green Premium Dye Ink. I love that MFT stamps are clear...makes inking them with two colours so much easier! I tied the flower with Hemp Cord then added rhinestones to the center of each flower. Then I used the Blissful Butterflies Die-namics to cut out the small butterfly and stamped the coordinating image from Blissful Butterflies with Sno Cone Premium Dye Ink.
The background layer is Spearmint and I used the Darling Dots set, stamped with white chalk ink to add pattern to the card stock. I added texture to the Sweet Tooth layer by scoring it on the diagonal every half inch. I used the Mini Tabs Foursome Die-namics to cut out the Pink Lemonade tab then stamped the sentiment from Peaceful Wildflowers with Kraft Premium Dye Ink. And finally, I used the Scallop Ribbon Border Die-namics to cut out the Sno Cone strip.
Isn't the dimension pretty?!?
I hope you'll play along with this week's challenge and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.
