I know Christmas was less than a month ago, but it's never too early to start on this year's cards. I made Christmas cards all year long for the past few years and it's always a huge weight off my shoulders when December rolls around and all I have to do is write in the cards I've already made and pop them in the mail. So this is card #1 for Project Christmas 2013. Wanna join me?
I used one of the gorgeous graphic sayings from Seasonal Sentiments for this quick and easy card. I started with a card base of Whip Cream then added a layer of Wild Cherry. The patterned papers are from the Bo Bunny Mistletoe collection. For the sentiment panel I used the Rectangle 1 STAX and Rectangle 2 STAX Die-namics to cut out the Whip Cream and Wild Cherry layers. I stamped the sentiment with MFT Wild Cherry Premium Dye Ink.
I used the Let It Snowflake Die-namics to cut out the Jellybean Green and polka dot snowflakes, then I topped it with a Wild Cherry button tied with Hemp Cord.
When I saw the horizontal strip on the sketch I thought of ribbon, so I used the Beautiful Bows Die-namics to create this gorgeous bow from Sour Apple felt. I love the warm and cozy feel the felt gives to the card.
On the inside I stamped another sentiment from Seasonal Sentiments using MFT Jellybean Green Premium Dye Ink.
There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC108. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!
Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog to view the entire list of design team participants...there's plenty of inspiration for you with today’s sketch!
